Translation says Setup Required
Connect to Wi-Fi, open Readiness, and prepare Translation. Apple manages the language-resource download. After it completes, test once before turning on Airplane Mode.
Voice input is unavailable
Open iPhone Settings and confirm Microphone and Speech Recognition access. Voice input also requires on-device recognition support for the selected source language.
No voice is installed
Open Say Settings → Voices. Choose an installed voice or use iPhone Settings to manage system voices.
A phrase says Machine translated
Say labels machine output separately from native-reviewed content. Do not treat machine-translated medical or emergency text as professional advice.
