01 Source
HeartStory reads heart-related data already stored in Apple Health. It does not measure with the iPhone camera.
02 Context
Personal ranges describe your own available history. They are not medical normal ranges.
03 Method
Review the dates, values, sources, included days, and calculation method.
04 Privacy
No health-data upload, third-party analytics SDK, advertising profile, or HeartStory account.
02 One record, five useful views
HeartStory organizes what Apple Watch recorded without pretending sparse samples are a continuous signal.
Today / 01
See your latest available reading, daily low, high, average, resting heart rate, HRV, and walking average where those values are available.

Timeline / 02
Inspect recorded samples across local time. Nearby readings can form short segments; longer gaps stay open and missing intervals remain explicit.
Insights / 03
Compare today with yesterday or with your own recent range. Every observation includes a receipt that explains the values, periods, sources, exclusions, and method.

Trends / 04
Review 7-, 28-, and 90-day views, compare periods, and keep missing days visible instead of smoothing them away.
Learn / 05
Learn how Apple Watch data arrives, why the newest reading may be delayed, how calculations work, and where HeartStory’s limits are.

04 How data arrives
HeartStory is an interpretation layer for authorized data already in Apple Health. Background updates can be delayed by watch sync, battery, connectivity, and system scheduling.
Apple Watch records supported heart-related samples through normal system behavior.
HealthKit remains the system of record. HeartStory requests only the access needed for shipped features.
The app shows cached information quickly, reconciles changes, and displays freshness and source details.
Deterministic calculations create personal ranges, trends, and explainable observations on your device.
Latest ≠ live
The newest passive reading may be several minutes old. HeartStory never presents passive Apple Watch history as continuous or live monitoring.
05 Private by design
HeartStory reads authorized Apple Health data and performs its analysis on your iPhone. Health information is not sent to a HeartStory server.
Read the privacy policyOpen the app and connect Apple Health. No HeartStory profile or cloud login.
Your health information is never used for ads, profiling, or tracking.
No third-party product analytics or behavioral tracking is included.
